Are the characters available to take pictures during early magic hours at Animal Kingdom and Epcot?

Hello Christina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Utilizing Extra Magic Hours as a benefit of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is a magical way to extend the fun during your Disney day.

While many attractions are scheduled to operate during Extra Magic Hours, Character Meets are not officially slated to occur during these times. Meeting Characters around Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Epcot are scheduled within regular Theme Park hours (be sure to pick up a Times Guide for exact times).

Character Meets at locations such as Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost and Meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus in Epcot follow Theme Park Hours but will allow any Guests that line up in the queue before scheduled Theme Park closing to wait beyond closing time for the experience, as is common with Theme Park attractions.

The one exception is the Meet Mickey & Friends at Epcot  Character Spot which participates in the evening Extra Magic Hours only.

I recommend that you meet all of your favorite Disney Characters during scheduled Theme Park hours and save some of your "must-do" attractions for Extra Magic Hours.

    Have a Magical Visit!
