    When will character spots reopen?

    Hi Deborah!

There’s no place like “Home” for the holidays...and now you know why one greeting you’ll hear when you travel to Walt Disney World is “Welcome Home!” I can’t wait to answer your question, so let’s just get right into it!

The Disney Parks Blog recently shared some excellent news about a return to character experiences. We can anticipate individualized time with some of our favorite characters in a themed location and the ability to snap a photo or two. Ok, so it’s not time just yet for hugs and autographs, but it IS a step in the right direction.

The locations EARmarked for these special interactions are Princess Fairytale Hall and Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom along with Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. P.S. I’m told that Mickey Mouse will be wearing his all-new EARidescent look designed just for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration at Town Square Theater!

While a firm date has not been announced yet, we are told that each of these locations will be welcoming Guests in November...YIPPEE! And just in time for your December vacation. I would recommend that you check the My Disney Experience app for updated information on these character interaction opportunities. And feel free to check back with us here at planDisney if we can help you with your vacation planning.

    Happy Holidays!
