Hello, Emily! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My daughter also turns 5 years old this year, so I know how excited your little one must be to celebrate at the Disneyland Resort! Planning ahead is key to a smooth and successful trip, so I commend you on getting the planning process going early. Since you’ll be visiting during the
Holidays, it is very likely that you will get to enjoy A Christmas Fantasy Parade during the day in Disneyland Park. This parade is such a delight as it features many of your favorite Disney friends decked out in their holiday best and, of course, Santa Claus himself will parade down Main Street, U.S.A. in his sleigh that is piled high with Christmas presents.
There is so much fun to be had during this time of year including special holiday overlays on select attractions. My absolute favorite is “it’s a small world” Holiday. The interior of the attraction is decorated from floor to ceiling in dazzling holiday décor, but the façade at night is really a show-stopper. Every corner of the iconic attraction is lit up in colorful lights and it is simply breathtaking. You can also see Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle illuminated at night which is equally spellbinding.
To make your daughter feel extra special on her big day, look into booking a magical makeover at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and perhaps making a reservation for a super fun character meal. Reservations for both can be made up to 60 days in advance, so you have some time to make your decisions.
I would love to continue to help you plan your amazing trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, so please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
