Hi Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your questions! I hope you are winning some major Mom points for helping your daughter get answers to all of the tough planning questions for her upcoming trip! There is a lot to unpack here, so let's get right to it.
Official character meet and greets have returned in a modified form at select parks and locations. The
Magic Kingdom Park has the most listed Character Sightings including Mickey himself. You can find him at the Town Square Theater in his brand new 50th Anniversary EARidescent attire.
Cinderella and
Princess Tiana are currently meeting inside Fairytale Hall. If she is a Frozen fan, she can find
Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight over at Disney's Hollywood Studios. With each of these indoor sightings, you can take a photo with the character, but you will need to do so from a distance while wearing your mask. This may change upon her visit in May, but for the time being, these are rules in place.
Harmonious is the new nighttime spectacular at
EPCOT and it is utterly amazing. Make sure that she makes this a top priority on her trip. You can stand almost anywhere in the World Showcase and have a great view of the show. There is no reserved seating area and Lightning Lane (more on this later) is not an option here. There are two Firework Dining Packages available at both
Rose & Crown in the UK Pavilion and
Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion. Booking a package at either restaurant will give you prime seating along the water to watch Harmonious.
Disney just recently announced
Fantasmic! is set to return sometime this year at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. While Mickey and Minnie have not leaked any specific date, I am very optimistic that she may have a good chance to see it during her visit. Previously, with the retired FastPass system, you could use it to get optimal seating for the show. Disney has since begun offering
Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane entrances as a new option to bypass standby queues. There has been no announcement yet if Fantasmic! will have a Lightning Entrance but it is best to follow the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is offering a variety of shows currently.
Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage just returned and has showtimes throughout the day. A family favorite in my household is
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. They are both fun and entertaining for all ages.
Jennifer, I hope your daughter has a magical vacation!
