We have 4 character meals planned for a 5 night trip - is this too many? Also, we wanted to see the Biergarten show at Epcot but don't think our kids would like the food, can we do quick service and still see the show?

    Rebecca:

I don't think four Character Meals are too many, provided you are only doing one per day. Disney table service meals take at least 1 1/2 hours and I've found that I can only stand that much time out of our day for dining (let alone waiting for the table) for one meal per day.

As for the Biergarten, it is one of our family's favorites, including the children. It's a meat and potatoes buffet with lots of fresh fruits, roasted chicken, pork loin, and beef roast--nothing out of the ordinary. Granted it's not chicken nuggets, but I think you'll be surprised how much your children will like it as there aren't any mystery ingredients nor unusual spices....

Unfortunately, you can't do quick service and go into the main restaurant just to view the shows as there is no seating and even standing wouldn't be advised as the walkways are busy with guests going back and forth to the buffet.

Remember the commercial "Try it, you'll like it..."? I think that applies here for the kids, especially since you don't have the option of only seeing the floor show.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
