Other than character meals and dinner shows, what other dining options can make a trip special? Although I love them, my son seems to be outgrowing the character meals.

Well depending on your son's interests and his age, he may find the pirate cruises a fun option. Adults can shop and dine while the children enjoy the cruise.

To read more information on these special kid programs, see intercot.com/infocentral/children/specactivities.asp for detailed information on each pirate adventure cruise.

I would also recommend dining at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios where guests can dine in cars at a simulated drive-in movie. (I do have to tell a family secret here though…our son is currently afraid of the monster-type movies that play here.) Bring your sense of humor to 50's Prime Time Café (keep your elbows off the table) and the Whispering Canyon Cafe for fun, family dining.

If your son likes marine life, you may want to dine at the Coral Reef Restaurant.. Our son has a great time at the San Angel Inn and the Rainforest Cafe. For sports fans, I would recommend the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk resort.

For buffet fans without characters, the Boma restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Cape May Clam Bake dinner buffet would be a nice idea.

I hope this gives you some ideas to help make your trip special!
