we have character meals that take 2 dining credits so will have to pay out of pocket for 3 meals-2 lunch 1 dinner. Can you tell me places at MK, AK, and HS where portions are big enough where my husband and I could share a meal? Trying to save $$$ :)

    Jessica:

Our family splits meals on the dining plan at counter service locations often, as the portion sizes at some restaurants are more than we can eat!

Cosmic Ray's at Magic Kingdom comes to mind first.  It's 1/2 Roasted Chicken and ribs combo is a tremendously value.  The only problem for our family is that we fight over the green beans!

Flame Tree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom also offers a rib plate that may satisfy the two of you.

Fairfax Fare at Disney's Hollywood Studios serves up a Chicken and Brisket plate that's hefty, too.  Although I still prefer the mile-high sandwiches at Starring Rolls (and you could split one), there's still more bang for your credit at Fairfax Fare.

With all this said, you'll notice how similar these meals are: ribs, chicken, and brisket, so spread them out over your trip so you won't feel like every meal is the same.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
