Ahoy, Kevin! Thanks for cruising our way to the planDisney panel. Welcome!
One thing that guests of all ages look forward to when setting sail with Captains Minnie and Mickey is the chance to say "hi" and snap a photo! I'm happy to report that up-close
Character Greetings including opportunities for hugs, photographs, and autographs are once again taking place on the Disney Cruise Line ships. On my most recent sailing, a Crew Member at the meet-and-greet was happy to use my phone to take a picture. If you encounter a situation where a Crew Member is not able to take a photo with your phone, you may have luck asking the person behind you in line to do so. I'm hopeful that you'll have a similar experience as I did, but I just wanted to share this tip in case it comes in handy.
The opportunities to say hello to your favorite Disney friends will be plentiful. You can see all of the scheduled appearances and locations within the activity schedule in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Be sure to download the app before leaving home if you haven't already done so. Prior to boarding, you can use the app to reserve activities, check in (30 days prior to your sailing date), and view a character-filled countdown that ticks down the seconds till your adventure begins! On the ship, the app will show you what's happening, when it's happening, and where it is happening. You can even lookup dining menus, book a placeholder for a discount off of a future cruise, and chat with Crew Members from the Guest Services desk if needed. It's quite a handy tool.
I hope you have the best holiday ever! Thanks again for visiting us at planDisney. We hope to SEA you real soon!
