Hi again, Jenae! Thanks for trusting the Disney Parks Moms Panel to help you with your upcoming adventure to the Happiest Place on Earth!
There isn’t currently a way to set up a personal character greeting in a hotel or in the parks, but depending on where you are staying, there may be some cute ways to get the Disney magic started right away. At Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, there is a statue of Goofy in his beach attire right as you enter the hotel. I remember my daughter running up and hugging the statue as soon as we were in the door. It was so cute! We all posed for pictures there as our first official photos of the vacation. If you are checking in to the Disneyland Hotel, keep your eyes peeled for characters that occasionally roam the lobby. I have bumped into Goofy, Chip, and Dale when hanging out near the front desk.
Another fun idea is to
order an in-room celebration or a special gift basket to be delivered to your room as a special surprise. There are lots of options to choose from that can include balloons, small gifts, flowers, and candy and other treats.
Depending on what your plans are when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort, you may consider making a reservation for a character meal first thing. Character breakfasts are offered at Storytellers Café, Disney’s PCH Grill, Goofy’s Kitchen, and the Plaza Inn. Or, if you are arriving in the evening, book a dinner at
Goofy’s Kitchen to kick off your vacation with Goofy and his pals while you chow down on a great buffet.
I hope your visit is full of magic and memories!
