Does the Character in Flight balloon ride in DTD take Disney Gift Cards as a form of payment? And am I able to call ahead of time to make an appointment and pay? Thank You for all of your help!

    Hi there, Rebecca!

    Characters in Flight
, the giant tethered hot air balloon located in Downtown Disney, is a walk-up attraction only. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance, since the attraction is operated on a by-the-weather basis, and the weather can be fickle in Florida.

Currently, the pricing structure is as follows:

$18 Adult (tax included) - Guests ages 10 and up
    $12 Children (tax included) - Guests ages 3 - 9
Free - Guests 2 and under

That said, there is no way of making an appointment or advanced reservations. Passengers are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. Weather permitting, the balloon will lift off from 10:00 AM - midnight, per the official Parks site.

Characters in Flight accepts American Express, Diners Club, Discover, Disney Dollars, Disney Gift Cards, Disney Rewards, Disney Visa, JCB, Key to the World, MasterCard, travelers checks, Visa, and cash.

Have a wonderful time in your beautiful balloon!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
