How do you do and shake hands Alice, and welcome to planDisney!
You're late, you're late, for a very important date! But not to worry planDisney is here to help. There are plenty of ways to see beloved characters at the Disney Parks. But if you're looking for something you reserve officially, character dining is going to be the way to go. There are a few different locations to look at to up the magical ante for your little ones.
In Disney's Hollywood Studios you can dine at
Hollywood and Vine and experience different characters depending on the time of day. At breakfast, you can party with the Disney Junior friends at Disney Junior Play n' Dine. For lunch and dinner, Minnie and pals make an appearance in their attire for the season. Right now they're dressed for a swanky Hollywood dinner party. But be sure to catch
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. Your babies can Let It Go at the top of their lungs with Anna and Elsa and the best part is there's no reservation required.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is home to
Tusker House Restaurant where Donald Duck and the gang have a wild party for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Decked out in their safari best, it really is a jungle in there. Arrive early for this one and you may be able to join the walk-up list! You can also catch many characters floating down the river by just sitting at the lovely rest area located between Africa and Asia. The whole party can rest from that cross-continental hike through the world's jungles with some Mr. Kamal's seasoned fries and see who floats along!
While
Cinderella's Royal Table and
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park aren't quite ready for character friends to join us for meals just yet, I'll let you in on Taylor's Unofficial Character Meal!
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square is one of my favorite Quick-Service locations in Magic Kingdom. What can I say, I love my chicken and waffle sandwiches. But most people don't realize that all of the character cavalcades pass right in front of there. While you're munching on tasty treats, if you notice some much louder music that doesn't fit the 1700s aesthetic, some characters are coming! And if princesses are the Cheshire Cat's pajamas at your house, stop by Princess Fairytale Hall and see which Royal Ladies are in and receiving guests.
Pro tip: Check the My Disney Experience app often. Just like another Alice we know during her adventures in Wonderland you have a very small door you're trying to fit through for dining reservations. Lucky enough, people cancel plans all the time. I can't tell you how many times the unavailable has become available at the last minute for me due to cancellations. I just spotted a few stray dining reservations for some of the locations I've mentioned so get booking!
Alice your children are sure to see lots of the characters they know and love at the Disney Parks. Whether you book those character dining reservations or they just wave to them at the top of the Walt Disney World Railroad Main Street U.S.A station, their little eyes will light up with joy and so will your heart.
Happy planning!
