At Disney's Hollywood Studios, your toddler can have breakfast with some of Playhouse Disney's favorite characters during the
Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine character breakfast. It's a big hit with the younger set.
If you are concerned that your child may be afraid of the big characters, you might consider going to the
1900 Park Fare character breakfast at the Grand Floridian. That one has always been a favorite with my girls. When we've gone, we've met Mary Poppins in the lobby. She seems especially fun for the little ones. The restaurant itself is decorated with beautiful carousel horses and "Big Bertha," a huge organ that plays occasionally while you dine. During our visits, we've met Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Pinocchio, Gepetto, Tigger, and Pooh. The characters are always subject to change though.
As for special dinners during different times of the year, many of the restaurants on property offer special menus during the holidays. Additionally, unique dining options are available during the Food and Wine Festival and other special events.
Don't forget to call ahead for reservations. The number for Disney dining is 407-WDW-DINE. Enjoy your trip; I think October is a great time to visit!
