    How does the Character Dining works for those who stay or is staying at the Value Resorts in Walt Disney World(such as Art of Animation)? I purchased the quick dining plan, but i believe the Character Dining is out of pocket, which is okay with me.

    Character Dining is so  much fun. What a treat to be enjoying a delicious meal, and the next thing you know Donald Duck is peeking over your shoulder ready for big hug and a photo! Only at Walt Disney World!

    Your resort choice will not affect your dining plans in any way. Guests from any location, on or off property, are welcome to book dining reservations wherever they wish. However, since you have the Quick Service dining plan, you will need to pay out of pocket for any table service meals (including buffets or character dining). If you find you are planning at least 1 table service meal per day (including character dining) it might be a better value for you to upgrade to the regular Disney Dining Plan which includes 1 table service credit per night of your stay. Review your plans, and feel free to call a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to look over your reservation and give you pricing to make the Dining Plan upgrade. If you just have one reservation requiring a table service credit, then you might be better off just keeping your Quick Service plan. 

    However you plan to pay for your meals, make sure you have reservations booked! Character dining is very popular, so you want to have your plans made ahead of time.
