Hi Joselyne,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped back by with a new question. With the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort approaching, I think we all have as many questions as Ariel has whosits and whatzits.
A recent post from the Disney Parks Blog
shared an update that relates to your question. "Dining and Experiences: In order to foster physical distancing during this time, upon reopening, our offerings, restaurants and other experiences such as behind-the-scenes tours will be limited in capacity, and other experiences may remain closed. As a result of limited capacity, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all existing dining reservations and experience bookings, including Disney dining plans included in packages. We will reopen dining and experience bookings with more limited numbers closer to when the parks reopen. We will also shift from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings going forward to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits."
Like you, I am curious to hear what changes will be made. I'm certain we will find out more about
Character Dining as the reopening date approaches. I also have to admit that I'm excited about the 60-day booking window for
advanced dining reservations. We plan more spur-of-the-moment trips so a shorter booking window works in our favor! I hope the 60-day window will help you secure the reservations you are hoping for once they reopen. If I were you, I would keep my eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements. As the Blog says, you can also visit the
"Know Before You Go" hub. They will be updating this hub with the most up-to-date information available.
Joselyne, thank you again for visiting us with another great question. If you have more questions as you plan, I hope you'll let us know if we can help. New information is released frequently and we look forward to sharing it with you!
Wishing you happy planning and a magical vacation,
Amy H.
