If I have a character dining reservation at contemporary resort can I drive from pop century or do I have to take a bus to a park and then to contemporary?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Ronnie!

It looks like you have the beginnings of an awesome vacation plan. A stay at a Pop Century (my favorite value resort)? Groovy! A reservation at Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort? Chef’s kiss! Let’s make sure you know your transportation options and ensure your vacation is a memorable, magical one.

I’m happy to report that if you have a dining reservation at the Contemporary Resort, or any other Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you are allowed to park your vehicle there. Be sure to have your dining reservation information handy when you get to the security gate, and you’ll be all set. Keep in mind, though, you can’t keep your vehicle there for an extended period of time. When you're done with your meal, you’ll need to return your car to Pop Century or a Walt Disney World theme park parking lot, depending on what your plans are for the day.

If you want to take advantage of Walt Disney World’s complimentary transportation options, you can take a bus from Pop Century to the Magic Kingdom, and then it’s a short walk or Monorail Ride to the Contemporary Resort. If you’re looking for a more direct route, you might consider booking a Minnie Van through the Lyft app, which can take you directly from Pop Century to the Contemporary or any other resort.

Ronnie, I hope this information is helpful. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have more vacation planning questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
