    Do the character dining places such as Chef Mickey's accept walk ups?

    Hi Gemma!

    Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Character Dining is one of my family's favorite dining experiences to enjoy during our Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We love to eat fabulous food while meeting Disney characters right at our tables. Due to the popularity of Character Dining experiences, there is usually no availability for Guests to get walk-up reservations. You can always stop in and ask, but favorites such as Chef Mickey's are full with reservations for most meals.

    Don't worry if you haven't found the perfect reservation for your vacation yet. In my experience, Guests often modify and cancel reservations as their vacation approaches. So I recommend that you continue to check for availability as you countdown the "sleeps" until your trip to see what opens up. I have often had the best luck checking for reservations 24-48 hours in advance of our meal as Guests are finalizing their plans for the next day! I like to use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to search for dining reservations both when I am planning my trip and during my vacation. In fact, just a few days ago I scored a reservation at The Crystal Palace for breakfast with Winnie The Pooh and friends for our vacation in just a few weeks! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
