Hi there, Angela! Welcome to planDisney! It's a pleasure to have you here with us.
If you have a
character dining reservation inside one of the theme parks, you’ll need a valid park ticket, in addition to your dining reservation. The dining reservation alone won’t get you into the park.
For example, if you’re planning breakfast at
Cinderella’s Royal Table in
Magic Kingdom or lunch at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in
EPCOT, you’ll need both your park admission and your dining booking.
The only exception is if your character dining is at a resort hotel outside of the parks, like
Chef Mickey’s at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort or
’Ohana at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. In those cases, you don’t need a park ticket, just the dining reservation.
So the rule of thumb is: inside the park = ticket required, outside the park = no ticket needed.
Have a fantastic meal, Angela! Stop by and see again if you need specific dining recommendations.
Toodles,
Korliss
