We want a Character Dining experience but it is at the Resort. We are staying off-site...what is the best way to get there? drive or take a shuttle or something to the dinner...? thanks so much! first time and we're excited!

    Hi Buffi!

If you are just going to dinner, then you can just drive over to the hotel where the Character Dining experience is at.  When you get to the parking lot for that hotel, just tell the Disney Cast Member that you have a reservation for dinner.  Sometimes, he or she will ask for your name and look it up, but most of the times you will just be waved through.

If you are going to be in a theme park before and/or after dinner then you can just park at the theme park and take Disney transportation to the hotel.

So for example, let's suppose you have a reservation at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort.  If you will be coming from your hotel, just drive directly to the Contemporary and park.  If you were going to be in the Magic Kingdom or Epcot before dinner and plan on returning to one of those parks after dinner, then just leave your car where it is and take the monorail.  If you are in a park and then leaving Walt Disney World after dinner, then I recommend retrieving your car and driving over to the Contemporary for dinner.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
