What character dining experience do you recommend for a huge princess fan (5 year old)? I thought about Ariel's Grotto, but see it's closed so am looking for another option with frequent princess visits.

    Hi Emily!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I can't wait for your daughter to experience the magic of a Disneyland Resort vacation. You are correct that Ariel's Grotto Restaurant is no longer an option for Character Dining as it is being transformed for the new Pixar Pier experiences coming this summer. Currently there are four Character Dining experiences at the Disneyland Resort:
    • Disney's PCH Grill at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel for breakfast
    • Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel for breakfast and dinner
    • Storytellers Cafe at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for breakfast
    • Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park (valid theme park admission is required) for breakfast

I think your daughter would love Minnie & Friends - Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn. The beautiful Victorian atmosphere and breakfast favorites would be the perfect fit for a 5 year old princess. You can make a reservation for this experience online, from the Disneyland app, or by calling (714) 781-3463. When you are finished with your delicious breakfast, I suggest heading over to Fantasy Faire in Disneyland Park. Here your little one will be able to not only meet her favorite princesses but see them perform at the Royal Theatre. It is the perfect place to spend time if you want to feel like royalty.

I hope this helps, and have a magical day!
