What character dining dinners and breakfasts include Mickey and Minnie Mouse? Have 4 and 1 year old girls - is Mickey BBQ good for their ages? Visiting WDW early Sept. 2012. Thanks.

    Hi Edward!

Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness can be a terrific experience for your children and is definitely age appropriate. Kids, as well as Big Kids (i.e. Mom and Dad) get a chance to sing and dance along with Mickey, Minnie, Chip n Dale, and others. They have line dancing, as well as various fun interactions to keep you entertained. The food is pretty good, consisting of BBQ chicken, ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers, and mac and cheese, just to name a few. I do have to mention it can get a little rowdy and loud there; which, if your 1 year old is really sensitive to loud music, this may not be the best event. But other guests have brought their children of similar ages and said it wasn't a problem for them. I'd definitely say it's at least worth experiencing once..

The character dinings where you can find Mickey and Minnie are as follows:

    • Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort-featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto
    • Tusker House at Animal Kingdom (breakfast and lunch only)-featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto
    • Ohana at Polynesian resort-Mickey, Lilo and Stitch, Goofy
    • Cape May Cafe' at Beach Club Resort (breakfast)-Minnie, Donald, Goofy

May you and family have a Fantasmic Time!
