Hi is there character dining on Christmas Day in magic kingdom and is there traditional holiday food served Thank you Michelle

    Hey Michelle!

I love stepping into Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day—the smell of sweet holiday treats and the sight beautiful wreaths and garlands draping every corner of Main Street, U.S.A. There’s a magical buzz in the air as holiday music fills the park, and you may even catch the Christmas parade, featuring Santa himself spreading holiday cheer.

Character dining will absolutely be part of Christmas Day and is typically always available! For a festive experience in the heart of the park, join Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and their friends at The Crystal Palace. This buffet-style restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The spread often includes some holiday favorites, with turkey, stuffing, and other traditional offerings alongside family favorites. Whether you’re starting your day or taking a cozy break mid-afternoon, the friendly characters and holiday-inspired menu will make your meal feel extra special!

If you’re looking for a royal experience, head to Cinderella’s Royal Table, where you’ll dine right inside Cinderella Castle! This unforgettable setting, with its elegant medieval décor and views overlooking Fantasyland, is the perfect place to feel like a Disney prince or princess on Christmas Day.

If you want to venture just outside Magic Kingdom, consider a reservation at Chef Mickey's at Disney’s Contemporary Resort—right across the sidewalk! Here, you’ll enjoy another buffet likely with some holiday additions and the joy of meeting Mickey and his friends. It’s a quick walk or monorail ride away and offers a fun setting for the whole family.

One very important tip: Make sure to plan for dining reservations. These can be made 60 days in advance of your arrival date and are a necessity during the busy holiday season. If you aren’t able to grab the reservation you’ve been hoping for, keep checking back often as people’s plans may change!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well, where holiday details and surprises are shared to help make your day even more magical. Merry Christmas and enjoy every unforgettable moment at Magic Kingdom!
