Brittney from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is their character dining available at all?

Heigh-ho, Brittney, it's off to Disneyland Resort you go!

You must be whistling while you work just thinking about returning to a land of magic. In just a couple of short weeks, it'll be your turn to enter the lands of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy. Can you smell the popcorn on Main Street U.S.A.? Can you hear the clanging of the dwarfs' mining tools in the diamond mine?

During the initial reopening phase, some experiences and interactions will look a little different than we are used to. Character dining is temporarily suspended, and I recommend following the Disney Parks Blog and the Dining & Restaurant Updates page for more information and news as to when this experience will be part of our world again.

While you wait for Goofy to return to his kitchen, look for your favorite Disney friends throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. On a recent visit, my fellow panelists Andres and Tiffanie noticed Rey waving to intergalactic travelers in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and got a physically distant selfie with the Evil Queen just outside Snow White's Enchanted Wish. They also caught a glimpse of Princess Aurora passing through Fantasyland on her way to the castle. You never know when and where the characters will appear these days!

I wish I had more exact information for you as to when Donald will be back at the grill, Brittney. Stay tuned as current offerings evolve, and hopefully, we'll be enjoying a meal with our Disney pals again real soon! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and have a magical day.

Meet the Panelist: Betsy, Maryland

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
