how are the character costumes made?

Hi, Denise! I can't speak for all of them, and others I can't explain. Take Cinderella, for example. How the mice were able to come up with the materials, design, musical accompaniment and occasional choreography is beyond me. The Fairy Godmother's follow up solution is simply inexplicable. Chock that one up to Disney magic, I say.

That being said, you can take matters into your own hands and make it your own.

DisneyFamily.com did a fun article that featured 15 homemade Disney costumes. You'll find photos and descriptions of how the people pulled it off.
