Are the character breakfast worth it??? How many characters? and which is best food/value. I want to use this as a photo op for the kids so we dont have to hunt down characters in park.

    Hi Stacy!

I would definitely say a character breakfast is worth it, for exactly the reason you mentioned: having the characters come to you vs. the other way around...

When we secure a Dining Plan, our family always makes sure to secure a few character meals, which allows us to not worry about the Character Meet and Greets throughout the parks. At character meals, you don't have to worry about waiting in line, and you can usually get more pictures when they come to your table then the "one and done" at the park greeting areas.

Most character meals generally get you 4 or 5 characters. My breakfast recommendation is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort. It's an American style breakfast buffet with all the favorite breakfast items: bacon, sausage, pancakes, Mickey waffles, orange juice, etc.

Chef Mickey's also has the "Fab Five" of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. In addition to the characters and food, Chef Mickey's is a great setting at the Contemporary resort (and a chance to catch the Monorail).

So I recommend Chef Mickey's, which has always been a great experience for my children.

    Good luck on your planning!
