We have character breakfast reservations at MK at 8:30 am and AK at 8:35am. Hoping this plan gets us into the park before opening & still gets us onto atrractions quickly. I dont want to lose valuable time when crowds may be thinner. Thoughts on our pl

    Hi Carmen!

You didn't say when you are going to Walt Disney World, but generally speaking it's not a bad plan.  It typically takes about an hour to enjoy a Character Breakfast so you should be done with breakfast around 9:30am.  The parks will already be open but you will already be inside the park so except for the most crowded days at Walt Disney World, you will be in great shape!  The only exception to this would be if the park had morning Extra Magic Hours on the day you are having breakfast; that will make the park more crowded in the morning than usual.

On the most crowded days at Walt Disney World, such as the week between Christmas and New Year's, the parks can open earlier than usual.  For example, the Magic Kingdom may open at 8am instead of it's typical opening of 9am.  On the most crowded days, I generally recommend that guests have breakfast before arriving, and arrive at least 30 minutes before the official park opening time.  That way, you can be ready to go the minute the park opens.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
