Hi! I would like to make a character breakfast reservation at the Plaza with Minnie and Friends but it continues to say there are no available reservations for any of the dates I enter in April, please help me find a way to check availability!

Hi there, Krislin! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are busy making plans for your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth next month. You are just going to love all the magic and excitement at the Disneyland Resort this spring!

Of course, no Disneyland trip would be complete without some mixing and mingling with Minnie and crew, especially over some Mickey waffles! It's hard to beat the views of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Plaza Inn's "Minnie and Friends - Breakfast in the Park" and oh boy do reservations book up quickly. As dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance, I'm guessing that you are looking in the exact right place for availability, but the restaurant is currently booked for your dates. Without knowing how large your party is, I just searched for a table for two and saw one reservation available on April 19th. Hang on to that faith, hope, and pixie dust! Guests are constantly modifying their plans and they have up to 24 hours ahead to cancel their reservation. Some spots may open up if you continue to check, especially as you get closer to your dates!

While I know there is nothing quite like eggs and bacon with a side of Sleep Beauty castle views, there are a few alternative character meal options that are just as magical. Goofy's Kitchen is pretty much a dance party buffet! It's lively and fun and you can't help but smile from ear to ear when Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale dance their way through. I just had breakfast here last weekend and the food was delicious and we had multiple interactions with each of the characters. I loved it! Goofy's Kitchen is located at the Disneyland Hotel and is open for breakfast and dinner, so there tends to be a bit more availability. I saw a few same-day reservations pop up when I was there. I also love that it's not in the parks so you could make a reservation for dinner on your arrival day or breakfast on your departure day without needing park tickets!

Another option is Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Not only will you see the main mouse and some friends, but there's an all-you-can-enjoy buffet filled to the brim with savory and sweet breakfast treats! Similar to Goofy's Kitchen, Storytellers Cafe is open to all Guests, and you do not have to be staying at the resort.

I would recommend making an alternative reservation at one of the other two character meals just to have it, if they are available, and continue to check the Plaza Inn. You can always cancel your first reservation up to the day before. While you may have your hopes up for some time with Minnie, I will say that all character meals offer something special and for little ones, they are always magical.
