which character breakfast is the least expensive?

Greetings, Mary Lou, from a fellow New Jersey resident!

You can check the current prices for character breakfasts at an independent fan site,  I have found their online menus and prices quite helpful as I plan my dining reservations.  Once you decide where you wish to dine, don't forget to call (407) WDW-DINE to make your advance dining reservations.  You can call up to 180 days in advance of your visit.

You are wise to have your character dining experience during breakfast as lunches and dinners are typically more expensive.  Personally, I think that the character breakfasts at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom and at 'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Resort are well worth the money.  If you are over near Epcot, then consider having breakfast at Cape May Cafe in Disney's Beach Club Resort.  These are my favorite character dining breakfasts.  They are also among the most reasonably priced.

Let us know if you need any additional information as you plan!

    Best wishes,
