    We have a character breakfast booked for 8:10 at Tusker House, but Animal Kingdom does not open until 9 that morning. Will there be transportation available or should we plan to drive. Staying at Bay Lake Tower. Thanks!!

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  A stay at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort with a trip to Tusker House Restaurant sounds great.  You are off to great planning for your trip!

    Disney buses start running one hour before park opening.  Therefore, you would not be able to catch a park bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom for your Tusker House reservation on time.  There are often character buses which run in order to get Disney resort guests to their early morning character meals.  You would need to check with a cast member in the lobby of your resort if one of these buses is running the morning that you need it, and what time you would need to catch the bus.  Sometimes you might need to catch this bus very early.  Since you mention that you have a car, I definitely recommend that you drive.  This is what we do to get to early reservations quickly and directly.  Since you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you will not need to pay for parking at any Disney theme park.
