Hi there, Roger! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for swinging on over with your question. I'm always happy to meet a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm here to help add a little extra pixie dust to your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
The
Disney Skyliner is a pretty magical way to travel--you'll feel like Tarzan swinging through the jungle as you soar through the air between
Disney's Hollywood Studios, the International Gateway entrance of
EPCOT, and several Resort Hotels. It's a much larger, state-of-the-art version of the Skyway that used to glide over
Magic Kingdom Park and a nice change of pace from taking a bus.
To make sure you aren't late for your very important date with Mickey Mouse and friends at
Cape May Cafe, keep in mind that the Skyliner starts running each day one hour before
Early Theme Park Entry begins at EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. I like to give myself plenty of time when we're traveling on Walt Disney World transportation, especially at the start of the day when lots of folks are heading out to conquer the theme parks!
Your best bet will be to take a bus to Hollywood Studios and board the Skyliner there, bound for
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. This leg of the journey takes about 6 minutes. At Caribbean Beach, disembark and board the Skyliner headed to EPCOT--this portion of the trip will last around 13 minutes. The EPCOT station is located near the International Gateway entrance, just a 6-minute walk to
Disney's Beach Club Resort where you'll be enjoying breakfast. I would estimate the total travel time to be around 60-90 minutes.
Roger, if you need to figure out transportation between any other on-property destinations, there is a great feature in the
My Disney Experience app that will show you how to get anywhere you need to go! Here's how to use it:
- From the home screen, select the three lines at lower right (the "hamburger" icon).
- Select "Getting Around", then "Transportation & Parking".
- You'll next see a map with icons for different transportation options. Choose any of these and there will be a prompt saying "Get Directions". From here, simply type in your Point A and Point B and you'll be on your way!
I hope this information is just what you need to make your aerial adventures a reality! Thanks again for visiting planDisney and please stop by anytime if we can help with any other questions.
Stay Magical!
Susan
