Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen! It sounds like you've got an appetite for feasting and fun, and a
character dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort will give you both, with a side of magical memories too! Let's dig into all the great options for a character breakfast!
One thing to consider when choosing the perfect character breakfast is where you will be spending the day, as some character meals are in Disney Resort hotels, while others are inside of Disney Theme Parks and require theme park admission. My family typically chooses to enjoy a character breakfast at a Disney Resort hotel on a day we will be resting from the theme parks so we can enjoy the experience without feeling rushed to get to the park! We also like to enjoy a character breakfast on our departure day, as it gives us one last dose of Disney magic before heading home!
My two favorite Disney Resort hotel character breakfasts are the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch at
'Ohana inside of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort. 'Ohana welcomes you like family and embraces a tropical atmosphere amidst the antics of Stitch. You're also likely to see some other friends like Mickey and his best pal, Pluto, while you dine here! Topolino's Terrace transports you to the French Riviera, and Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are ready to greet you table-side as you enjoy stunning rooftop views as you dine.
Another consideration is which characters you're hoping to meet! From Disney Junior pals at
Hollywood and Vine's Play 'n' Dine breakfast to Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred-Acre Wood friends at
The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park, there's a character breakfast where you can find almost any of your favorites!
If you're seeking breakfast with princesses, I'd recommend
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT! While my girls have since grown out of the princess stage, we all have fond memories of dancing with their favorite princesses inside of this medieval castle setting!
No matter where you choose to dine, be sure to secure your
Advance Dining Reservations for your character meals as soon as you're eligible to guarantee the best selection! Remember you can book dining 60 days in advance, and if you are a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can book for the length of your visit (up to 10 days) at the 60 day mark!
Kathleen, I hope this information helps you to find the perfect character breakfast; I always say mealtime is better with friends, and what more magical friends could there be than those Disney characters that we all know and love? Wishing you a wonderful vacation, and some magical meals along the way!
See you real soon,
Alison
