Hi, Mary!
My husband and I volunteered as Disneyland Grad Nite chaperones a few years ago, and I think it’s safe to say we as much fun exploring the theme park as the students did!
A great choice would be
Café Orleans at Disneyland Park. You’ll love the ambiance on the open-air patio as you enjoy a meal in the spirit of Mardi Gras! My favorite menu item is the Monte Cristo sandwich. Have a Mint Julep, the signature drink of New Orleans Square, and some Mickey-shaped beignets (French doughnuts) for dessert! Although it’s a bit pricier, Blue Bayou is my favorite restaurant in Disneyland Park. It’s located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, and the gently-lit “outdoor” atmosphere is like no other dining experience in the park. Reservations for these table-service restaurants can be made by calling Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463.
My recommendation for Disney California Adventure Park is
Flo’s V8 Café in Cars Land, a quick-service restaurant featuring classic American cuisine with a unique spin. This isn’t your standard theme park food! My go-to meal is one of the home-style rotisserie classics, like the turkey or New York strip loin. Take a seat on the patio or in one of the whimsically-themed, window-lined dining rooms to enjoy a spectacular view as cars speed past on the Radiator Springs Racers attraction! If you’ve got room for dessert, the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop isn’t far away…a hot fudge sundae is on my must-have list for every trip!
I hope this helps, Mary, and that you have a pixie-dusted visit to the Disneyland Resort. Please write back to me with any other questions you may have!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
