Hey there, hi there, Lynn! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you are getting ready for quite a visit to Disneyland Resort as a chaperone!
Chaperoning a trip can be fun and exhausting! There are not any areas in the parks that are reserved for chaperones. If you have a theme park ticket and theme park reservation, you will have access to the parks just like any other Guest. There are lots of great areas to rest and recharge if you do not want to go on attractions. Although, I think there are plenty of mild and relaxing attractions that make great breaks from the heat.
In Disneyland Park, after passing through the tunnels and onto Main Street, U.S.A., you will find
The Disneyland Story Presenting Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln. Not only is there a short show in this location featuring an animatronic of Mr. Lincoln, but there is also a showcase of many artifacts and information about the creation of Disneyland Resort in the lobby. You'll find some seating here to rest and take in the sights. My other favorite places to take a break are catching a performance in
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room or grabbing a bite and catching some live entertainment on the second floor in
The Golden Horseshoe.
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, my ultimate favorite spot for a midafternoon break is at
Lamplight Lounge for some appetizers. If you want a break from the heat, we love relaxing in
The Disney Animation Building. Here you can watch a show, draw your favorite character, or just enjoy the Disney movie clips in the lobby.
If you do not have a ticket and theme park ticket reservation, you will still have access to Downtown Disney District which has shopping and dining options.
Lynn, I hope this helps you figure out a plan for chaperoning. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to stop back by. See you real soon!
