Hi, is changing the name on a Disney ticket free?

Hi there, Femke. Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question and I'll be delighted to share some advice with you about your upcoming Disneyland Resort vacation!

You've asked a great question about changing the name that was originally stated at the time of your ticket purchase. Technically, a standard theme park ticket is not officially assigned to a Guest until they first use it for entry to a theme park, along with a valid park reservation. At this time, the Guest using the ticket will have their photo taken by a Cast Member which becomes the official mechanism of identification for its ongoing use. So the names placed on your tickets are useful for the purpose of keeping your tickets organized among your travel party, but they are not usually verified at the gate for standard tickets.

However, if you'd like to change the name on your ticket, please feel welcome to call the Tickets line and speak with a Cast Member to make the request. They'll be happy to assist you! I hope this was helpful information, Femke. If we can assist with anything else in the meantime, please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney with any additional questions.
