Hi, Nette! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I'm so glad to hEAR that you are planning to use
mobile food and beverage ordering during your upcoming visit to
Walt Disney World Resort! I am a huge fan of this
game-changing service! I swear my
Dole Whip tastes even better when I don't have to wait in line to purchase it. Mobile food and beverage ordering has been particularly helpful in assisting with physical distancing measures during the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort. Now that
Disney Gift Cards are accepted as a form of payment for mobile ordering, this service is even more convenient.
I'd be happy to walk you through the process of paying for your meal with a Disney Gift Card. First, you'll want to open your
My Disney Experience mobile app and click on the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. You will then need to select "Order Food" from the menu that pops up. From there, you can select the
dining location you wish to order from, as well as your arrival window. This will take you to your chosen restaurant's menu where you can customize your food and beverage order. Once you've finished adding your items, click on "View My Order" at the bottom of the screen. Next, scroll down and click on "Review Order Summary." You can then scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Continue to Checkout." On this screen, you will see "Payment Methods." The credit card that you have saved in your
My Disney Experience account will be listed as your default payment method, but you will also see "Disney Gift Card or Disney Rewards Redemption Card" listed as another possible payment method. To use your Disney Gift Card, click on "Add a Card," select which type of gift card you are using, and enter your card number. Once you have saved your Disney Gift Card number, you can complete your mobile order. When you arrive to pick up your food, simply click "I'm Here, Prepare My Order," and you'll be all set to enjoy your tasty treats.
In addition to paying for your mobile food and beverage order, Disney Gift Cards can also be used at most
Table-Service restaurants and
retail locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Although you cannot link a Disney Gift Card to your
MagicBand,
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests may use their MagicBands to charge purchases to their resort hotel rooms. You are then welcome to stop by your resort hotel's front desk to use your Disney Gift Card to pay off those charges to your room. Just be sure to take care of this the night before you check out of your resort hotel.
Wishing you a magical vacation!
Samantha
