Hey there, Renata. Welcome to planDisney!
The new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass will roll out on July 24, 2024, which is right around the corner. So, let’s go over the changes to ensure you can skip the standby line for some of your favorite attractions during your upcoming visit to
The Most Magical Place On Earth!
With the Lighting Lane Multi Pass, you can choose from up to three experiences and arrival windows in a theme park. Once you’ve enjoyed your first multi pass experience, you can make an additional selection, if available. The Lightning Lane Single Pass is reserved for the more popular attractions, which aren’t available via the Multi Pass, and each Guest is allowed up to two Single Passes per day. If you want the best of both worlds,
you can purchase the Multi Pass and the two Single Passes and experience all the fun via shorter lines!
To answer your question, our international friends must wait until they arrive in the U.S. to make Lightning Lane purchases. For Guests of
Disney Resorts Collection hotels and other select hotels, Guests will be able to purchase Lightning Lane passes starting seven days before the beginning of the Resort stay and book up to 14 days’ worth. For all other Guests, purchases can be made three days in advance. I suggest researching which attractions you would like to use Lightning Lane passes for and plan on experiencing those attractions later in your vacation. Immediately upon touching down in the States, book the Lightning Lane passes you prioritized in your pre-visit brainstorming session. At the beginning of your trip, take your time exploring the parks, enjoy some shows, eat all the fantastic snacks, and get on the rides with shorter lines or rides you won’t use your passes on. Then, when it’s your time to use the Lightning Lane passes, you will have experienced much of the parks and end your trip with some of the top rides available!
I know this may not be the news you wanted to hear, Renata, but Hakuna Matata, you will have a magical vacation no matter what! If you have any questions or want recommendations on which rides to prioritize,
ask me another question. I will be happy to advise you on which rides would be worth a Lightning Lane pass versus which rides can have shorter wait times early in the morning or later in the evening!
See you real soon!
