Hi, Tanya! Welcome to planDisney. We're happy you're here!
You're only a few weeks away from your magical vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort and I couldn't be more excited for you. As your trip gets closer, it's natural for plans to shift and change, and it sounds like you're adding a new member to your travel party! When it comes to modifying a Guest's name on a
vacation package, you'll want to
call a Cast Member in Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. I'd recommend calling as soon as you're able so you have plenty of time to get all of your Donald Ducks in a row before your visit! When you call, try to have as much information for your new Guest handy, including the email address associated with their
My Disney Experience account (if they have one). They'll take a peek at your reservations and help you with the next steps that are available to you!
One thing to note, Tanya:
MagicBands that have been initially linked to a Guest cannot be transferred to another Guest. It's likely that your new Guest will either need to purchase their own MagicBand or they can take advantage of one of the complimentary options, too! They could ask for a
Key to the World Card at the front desk of their Disney Resorts Collection hotel, or they could use
Disney MagicMobile service in their
My Disney Experience app. These will both allow Guests to tap into the parks, check into Lightning Lane entrances and virtual queues, and charge purchases back to the card on file for their Disney Resort hotel room – just like a MagicBand!
Speaking of the
My Disney Experience app, this is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun while in the parks. You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, access
virtual queues, and even
mobile order food – my favorite!
I'm wishing you the most magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort, Tanya! If you have any other questions while planning your magical trip, please write to us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Michelle
