Hey howdy hey Kenneth and welcome to planDisney!
These past couple of years have been crazy with Covid-19 changing plans, protocols and so much more. Thankfully Disney has responded well in the case of helping everyone plan and reschedule trips and has very flexible options for rescheduling vacation packages and tickets. So yes, it is possible to change your ticket to a date in the future so let's get into how first and then some other situations.
To modify the dates on your ticket, you can do so prior to midnight of the day before your use date. You can do this from your
My Disney Experience app. Tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom right and tap "Tickets and Passes". From there you will see a blue hyperlink to "Change Ticket". You should be given dates in advance to change your ticket. Keep in mind that if you select a date that offers tickets more expensive than what you paid for yours, you will be charged the price difference.
When you go through these steps, you should also see an expiration date on your tickets as they all have them. If you are looking into moving your ticket into next year at some point, you might not be able to change the date through the app or online and need to contact
Disney directly at (407) 934-7639 and have a Cast Member help you through this process. With the expiration date in mind, Disney has typically been able to honor the amount paid for unused tickets and applied them to future tickets, so booking in the future will be possible with the help of a Cast Member. This also may come with an additional charge if the tickets prices are higher in the future as well.
Good luck with changing your ticket and we hope we will soon be able to have you Be Our Guest in the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Happy planning,
Nick
