Bonjour Tyler!
Thank you for sending us this magical question, and welcome to planDisney! I love answering questions from fellow Canadian Disney fans, and I am thrilled to be answering yours today. Split stays are so much fun as they allow you to experience the theming, amenities and unique offerings of different resorts during your stay. In fact, I could even plan a Disney trip just to stay at the resorts!
Now, let's talk about how you can make your dream vacation a reality! Split stays are much easier to plan when making room-only reservations rather than through a package. Indeed, packages sometimes only let you select the number of theme park tickets corresponding to your number of days at your resort. Therefore, it is better to
book the rooms first separately. Then, once you have booked your resort stays, you can
purchase your 10-day theme park tickets separately. Once you have made your reservations, don't forget to link them to your My Disney Experience account so that you may
make your theme park reservations. These reservations are required in addition to valid theme park admission, so make sure to book them as soon as possible as
availability may vary!
After you have planned the more essential parts of your vacation, let's talk about all the fun things you will be able to experience! Firstly, you will be visiting during the
World's Most Magical Celebration, which is such a magical and unique time to be at the Walt Disney World Resort. With new fireworks,
special treats, celebratory merchandise and returning offerings, this is a celebration you will not want to miss. Also, since Disney likes to celebrate, you will be at the resort right in time for the Halloween season. Keep your eyes peeled for news coming out about special Halloween events, as these events are sure to make your stay extra spooky! I love the special after-hours events Disney offers at Magic Kingdom Park. What could be better than dressing up, watching themed fireworks and shows, and trick-or-treating at the Walt Disney World Resort? You could even decorate your cabin for the occasion and go around
The Cabins and
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to see other guests' decorations! Halloween is a big holiday at Fort Wilderness, and you will get to join in on the spooktacular traditions!
I hope this was helpful, Tyler, and that you and your family will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, don't hesitate to reach out. Much like grim grinning ghosts, we love to come out and socialize!
Have a boo-tiful day,
Ariane
