Can I change my resort after I have already made my reservations?

    Hi Deanna,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to send us your question!  I am so excited to see that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort later this year, I bet you can't wait to get back to the magic!

One of the most difficult decisions for my family is choosing a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for our visit.  Each Resort is wonderfully themed making it so tough to decide!  I have been known to change my mind after booking and I have switched Resorts several times, so I understand what you are going through!  In order to modify your existing Reservation you will need to call and speak to a Cast Member who will be glad to assist with your change.  Since you are modifying not cancelling your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, it should not affect your existing Theme Park Reservations, as long as the dates remain the same. Once I have modified my Resort, I like to go back into My Disney Experience to make sure all of my other reservations are still in place, and check for the updated Resort as well.  The update can take up to 24 hours, but in my experience the updates are available after logging out and then back in again.

I hope this information is useful, Deanna.  If you have any other questions, please come back to planDisney and visit us again.  We are always happy to help.
