Hi Teresa,
Welcome to planDisney! I am always thrilled to greet a fellow North Carolinian!
We are delighted to see that you have a
vacation package or resort hotel stay to visit the Walt Disney World® Resort. If you have booked a vacation package or
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you may be able to change that vacation package or resort hotel in your
My Disney Experience account. First, check to see if the vacation package or resort hotel is linked in My Disney Experience. If it is, look for a link to modify. If you do not see a link,
call to speak with a cast member in Disney Resort Hotel Reservations.
As you consider changing resort hotels, there are a few other considerations to remember. First, if you booked the resort hotel as part of a vacation package, remember that changing the resort may change the availability of any
Special Offers used. Second, if you have not yet done so, consider the proximity of resorts to the theme parks as well as the resort's available transportation options. My family prefers resort hotels with multiple
transportation options, especially those within walking distance to a theme park. Finally, keep an eye on the date that you try to modify or cancel a reservation to avoid
cancellation fees.
When changing resorts, also consider the amenities of the resorts. We love to dine at our resort hotel so we value resort hotels with multiple dining options that include table-service and quick service possibilities. At Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, for example, we eat at Kona Cafe, 'Ohana, and Capt. Cook's.
Teresa, I hope this helps! I am sending a little extra pixie dust trusting you will get that resort hotel changed!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
