How do you change reservations once you’re close to your trip? We have ended up unable to travel but don’t want to cancel just want to push trip out.

Welcome to planDisney, Megan! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to travel as planned, but the good news is that you may be able to modify your reservation instead of canceling, so you'll still have a magical Disney trip to look forward to!

To change your reservation dates, log into My Disney Experience and go to the "My Plans" section. Find your reservation and look for the option to modify it. From there, you should be able to check availability and update your travel dates. Keep in mind that if there's a difference in price, you may need to pay the balance. Also, certain discounts or promotions might not carry over, so it's always a good idea to double-check the details before finalizing your change.

If you're having any difficulty modifying online or you want to talk through your options, you can also call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak with a Cast Member who can help you adjust your booking. They'll be able to check availability for you and make sure everything is set up just right! If you've booked through a travel agent, they can also assist with moving your dates.

The most important thing is that you don't lose your chance to enjoy the magic, you're just delaying the fun for a little while. I hope everything works out smoothly, and when you do get to visit, it'll be worth the wait!

    Have a magical day, Megan!
