I had to change a reservation for an upcoming trip- we couldn't find childcare so we're switching up who's coming, now I only have a partial reservation for a different park than my kid- what can I do?

Hi there, Sharon! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like the countdown is on! And when the clock strikes midnight in just a few weeks, you'll be having the time of your life at the Happiest Place on Earth. The Disneyland Resort has recently seen the return of many Guest-favorite activities, including the ever-so-popular Nighttime Spectaculars! Whether you grab a Mickey-shaped treat and park it on Main Street U.S.A. for the Main Street Electrical Parade or pop over to Disney California Adventure Park for World of Color, you will be banking many core memories to top off your park day!

Sharon, plans change all the time. Hakuna Matata, right? I am very sorry that rearranging your plans has not been a fairytale, but if you can be a bit flexible, there may be some options for you.

If you can't be flexible with the date you visit, your best bet is to simply stay diligent and continue checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar frequently leading up to your stay. Your plans changed and many other Guests change theirs, too. When one Guest cancels a park reservation, it becomes available for another Guest to book. As soon as a reservation becomes available, it will show in the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. If you find availability, you'll want to make theme park reservations right away, as it may not last long! Your best bet is to check the availability every day, maybe even multiple times per day if you can. You never know when some pixie dust may come flying your way!

If you can be flexible with the date of your visit, you may consider rescheduling your entire group for a day that is already available. This option would be more of a "sure thing" and allows you to plan in advance, rather than hoping for reservations to become available.

Sharon, I know this likely isn't the answer you were hoping for. If I could wave my magic wand and create more park reservation availability, I'd do it in a heartbeat! But for now, we're going to have to rely on the options above. Just know that I'll be wishing on a star for new reservations to become available to you soon!

    Have a magical day,

    Ashley
