Hey, howdy, hey Tawnya, and welcome to planDisney. Thank you for stopping by with your question. Helping Guests plan their Disneyland Resort vacations is what panelists like me do best.
Disneyland Resort uses a
Ticket Tier system for standard 1-day theme park tickets. There are six tiers with Tier 1 being the most restrictive and Tier 6 the least restrictive. Changing dates within the same tier triggers no price change. When you want to change your active theme park ticket to a different day and there is a difference in the price (change in tier) here is what will happen. If the new date has a ticket price that is less or equal to the current ticket price you may switch the ticket date without any effort using the
Disneyland Resort App or on your desktop through the
Disneyland Resort website. When the new date has a more expensive tier ticket price you will need to pay the difference. You will not need to purchase a whole new ticket. The price is usually a few dollars different and can be taken care of through the Disneyland Resort app or online. Always check to make sure a
park pass reservation is available for the date you want to change to prior to paying the upgraded tier price.
planDisney Pro Tip: Two weeks ago we visited the "Happiest Place on Earth." I recommend you make a
dining reservation for any table-service location as soon as you can but no longer than
60 days before your desired date. These restaurants were packed and the "
Walk-Up" lines were over an hour wait.
Tawnya, I hope this information is helpful as you plan your exciting Disneyland Resort adventure. planDisney is here for more tips and please feel free to
