Hey there, Laurie. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Disney knows that itineraries can change at any time and because of that, you can make different park pass reservations if there is availability. However, the system doesn't let you change your
park pass reservation with just a click of the button. You will need to check the
Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar to be sure that there is park availability for what you would like to change to. Then, you'll need to head over and log in to your
MyDisneyExperience account. From there, you'll scroll down until you see your daily itinerary listed under the "My Plans, Reservations & Tickets" section. When you see the park pass reservation you'd like to change, you are going to select the option "View Details". This will bring you to a page where you should see the option to "Cancel This Reservation", and if you are sure that's what you'd like to do, go ahead and select that. Once you've canceled your initial park pass reservation, you will need to head back over to the park pass reservation website and start the process over. You'll select your party, the date and then the theme park you'd like to visit. If there is availability, you'll be taken to a confirmation page. It may seem like a complicated way to do things but it doesn't take very long when actually doing it.
If there isn't any theme park availability for what you'd like to change your park pass reservation to, I'd maybe consider upgrading your tickets to include the
park hopper option. Park hopping is where you can visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. Park hopping just recently returned to Walt Disney World, at the start of this year, and looks slightly different from how it did before. If you'd like to park hop, you will need valid theme park admission with the park hopper option. Then, you will need to make a park pass reservation for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day. On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before continuing on to other theme parks. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings.
If you aren't able to change your park pass reservations around, park hopping would be a great way to still get to visit the theme park you'd really like. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you will be able to see and do from 2:00 p.m. until the park closes.
Laurie, I hope this helps you change your park pass reservations around with ease. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
