Hey there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad you stopped by with this great question. I completely understand the need to know what to do when plans change. It happens to all of us, even at the Happiest Place on Earth.
I see your arrival day is today, so let’s get right to it. I am not sure whether you are using a standard ticket or a
Magic Key pass, so I will cover both so you have everything you need.
If you have a standard
One Day or Multi Day ticket and need to modify or cancel your park reservation, the change has to be made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the night before. If that deadline has already passed, you will need to wait until the original reservation day ends before you can apply your ticket to a new date.
If you are using a Magic Key pass and the reservation is not canceled by 11:59 p.m., your account will receive a
“no show” notation. Three no shows within a 90 day window will temporarily block you from making new reservations for 30 days. It is never fun to see that little warning pop up, so it is always good to stay one step ahead.
Since you are in California, if you happen to be near
Disneyland Resort, the Cast Members at the ticket booths may be able to help in person. You can also call the
Ticket Line at (714) 781-4636 for immediate assistance. They are wonderful at helping Guests get their plans back on track and navigating plan changes!
I am sorry your visit did not work out for today. I recently had to cancel a Disneyland Hotel stay and my own Magic Key reservation for an upcoming trip, and I felt a tug of sadness when I clicked the cancel button. The bright side is that the magic never leaves. It patiently waits for us, ready to sparkle the moment we return.
Robert, I hope this helps. If you need any other assistance while planning or rescheduling, please come back and visit us. We are always here and always happy to help.
Wishing magical memories to you,
Kimberly
