Hi there, Arianna! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you're planning a magical vacation soon! How exciting! I'm sure Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and the rest of the crew can't wait to welcome you with a warm hug at the Disneyland Resort. That's right, I did say hug! As of this week,
Character Greetings are returning to the Happiest Place on Earth! Though it may be a gradual change, you'll find many characters available for hugs, high fives and autographs during your stay.
Arianna, the Disneyland Resort requires reservations for many different aspects of your stay, so I'll do my best to cover all the bases here to answer your question as thoroughly as possible! If you need to change your reservation at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, you can reach out to a Cast Member directly to help find availability during your new dates. To do this, call one of the numbers listed under "Hotel Reservations" and be prepared to present the last name and confirmation number on your current reservation. The friendly Cast Member on the other end of the phone can walk you through the process of switching your reservation to a more suitable date.
If the reservation you need to change is an
Advance Dining Reservation, you can modify it on your own using your
Disneyland Mobile App. Simply open the app and tap the menu button in the bottom right corner. Click "Future Plans" and select the dining reservation you'd like to change. Click "Modify" and search for a new date and time to find something that works better for you!
Finally, Arianna, if you're trying to change your park reservation dates, that's where it gets a little trickier. There is no way to adjust or modify your current park reservation, so you will have to cancel it and make a new one. But, wait! Before doing so, be sure to check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability to make sure your new dates are available! If the dates and parks you want are open, hop over to the
Disneyland Resort Website to change your reservations. Hover over the "My Disneyland" option on the menu bar, then select "Tickets and Reservation Details" from the drop-down menu. This page is home to your active tickets and park reservations. Take another quick glance at the Theme Park Reservation Availability to be sure your new dates are still free. Then, cancel your active park reservation and come back to this screen and select "Make A Park Reservation" to make a new one. Again, Arianna, you want to be absolutely sure your new dates are available to avoid any not-so-magical outcomes.
Plans change all the time, Arianna. Hakuna Matata, right? No matter when you make your way over to the Disneyland Resort, I'm sure your stay will be filled with pixie dust!
Happy planning,
Ashley
