Hey there, Mary! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. A very warm welcome to you!
Mary, in order to change a
reservation, you have to cancel your current reservation and then make a new one. There is a risk involved here, as
reservation availability can change within seconds, so in the time that you cancel one reservation and attempt to make a new one, the availability may change. It’s always a good idea to check the availability calendar to ensure your new date is available, and if it is, you can attempt to cancel the current reservation to make a new one, knowing you’ll need to do it quickly! I wouldn’t recommend cancelling reservations to make new ones during peak seasons at the parks, such as the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
To cancel a reservation, log in to your Disneyland account, go to My Disneyland, Ticket and Reservation Details, View My Park Reservations. You’ll see a link to cancel, and when you click it, you will be able to select which Guests on the reservation you’d like to cancel for.
If you’re canceling and not ready to make a new reservation yet, no problem. Your
ticket will remain linked to your account and be waiting for you when you’re ready. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance.
I hope this is helpful, Mary! Hoping you get to the magic soon,
Kamini
