    Change reservation date

    Hi Vanessa,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for submitting your question to us about your upcoming Reservation.  It looks like your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is coming up soon, what a great way to kick off the holiday season!

Depending on the type of reservation that you have made the process may be slightly different in order to change your existing reservation.  If you are trying to change your Theme Park Reservation, you will need to cancel your existing reservation in My Disney Experience either online or using the My Disney Experience Mobile App and then make a new reservation for your new date.  Prior to canceling your existing reservation I do recommend checking availability for your preferred date using the Theme Park Availability Calendar, to make sure your dates are still available.  To cancel, open my Disney Experience and find your reservation under "My Plans", from there follow the prompts to cancel the reservation.  Once canceled, you should be able to select "Make a Theme Park Reservation" under "My Plans" to book your new Theme Park Reservation.

If you are wanting to change a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package or a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Room only stay, you may be able to modify your existing reservation online, again on My Disney Experience.  Once you have logged in, select "My Disney Experience" in the top right hand corner of the Walt Disney World Resort Website and select "My Plans".  From there, scroll down to your reservation and there should be a button on the right hand side that says "Change Reservation".  Follow the prompts to see if you are able to modify your reservation.  If this feature is not available, I suggest calling Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and a Cast Member will be able to assist with your reservation.  Please remember that if you change your dates, you will also need to cancel and choose new Theme Park Reservations, as this does not happen automatically.

I hope this information was useful, Vanessa.  If you have any other questions, please come back to visit planDisney again, we are always happy to help.
