How do I change the reservation contact person for an existing dining reservation from myself to my husband without losing the reservation? Or does it matter if my husband shows up in my place to the restaurant?

Hiya, Tracie, and welcome back to planDisney. We’re always happy to help in any way we can. I’ve got great news coming your way today and that, too, makes me happy!

You have no need to worry about whose name the dining reservation is in. As long as the correct number of people show up on time with either the name or confirmation number associated with the dining reservation, you should be good to go. The Cast Member won’t check an ID. In fact, it’s not uncommon for one Guest to make dining reservations for other members of the traveling party, even if the Guest who makes the reservation is not dining with the rest of the group.

It’s not a bad idea to make sure that your husband has the confirmation number of the dining reservation when he arrives. I always just bring that information along for peace of mind. Do inform him that he should provide your name to the Cast Member who welcomes him upon checking in at the restaurant.

I hope that helps, Tracie. And I wish your husband an excellent dining experience, no matter which restaurant he’ll be enjoying!
