Change of plans and we will be visiting WDW over July 4th, do the parks do anything special for this? Any suggestions to make this day extra magical?

    Hi Carmen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The 2016 information for 4th of July at Walt Disney World Resort has not yet been released. In the past, there have been special fireworks displays at Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. There has also been an additional showing of the Fireworks on the third of July at Magic Kingdom Park; you may want to view that show instead of the busier Fireworks show on the fourth if possible. Epcot has had Disney characters dressed in patriotic costumes near the American Adventure in World Showcase as well as "Voices of Liberty 4th of July concert" at various times throughout the day. Disney's Hollywood Studios has also hosted a "Rockin' 4th of July Celebration!"

Since you will be visiting during the busy Fourth of July holiday, I suggest looking at the schedule of Extra Magic Hours during your stay and then plan accordingly. Take advantage of the extended Park Hours when the Theme Parks are less crowded. If you want to catch the Fourth of July Fireworks show at Magic Kingdom Park, then I would recommend arriving as early in the day as possible. Another great way to view them would be from the rooftop deck of California Grill in Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can also view them from the Marina at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or on the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

I hope this information helps. Please visit us again if you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
